Sunnahs & Etiquettes That Should Be Followed On The Day Of EID

The Sunnahs that the Muslim should observe on the day of Eid are as follows:

1 – Doing ghusl before going out to the prayer

 2- To use the Miswaak

3- Walking to the masjid rather than riding (if the masjid is of walking distance and does not burden or create a hardship).

4– Eating before going out to pray on Eid al-Fitr and after the prayer on Eid al-Adha

5– Takbeer on the day of Eid

In the case of Eid al-Adha, the takbeer begins on the first day of Dhu’l-Hijjah and lasts until sunset on the last of the days of tashreeq.
Description of the TakbeerAllaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, Allaah akbar, wa Lillaah il-hamd (Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is most Great, there is no god but Allaah, Allaah is Most great, Allaah is most great, and to Allaah be praise).

6- Offering congratulations

7– Adorning oneself on the occasion of Eid.

8– Going to the prayer by one route and returning by another.

Wise saying by Imaam Ibn Al- Hanbali (Rahimahullah) to ponder:

‘Eid is not for the one who wears new clothes. ‘Eid is for the one whose obedience rises. ‘Eid is not for the one with beautiful clothes and splendid means of transport. ‘Eid is for the one who gets his sins forgiven. [al-Lata’if, p.371]

Have a blessed Eid-ul Adha!
Taqabbal Allah Minna wa Minkum! Include me in your Du'as as well!

Prayers Of Blessed Nights In Ramadan(Laylatul Qadr)

Ramadan is a month of Patience, Thankfulness & Iba'dat(Worship). Whosoever worships his Lord to attain His pleasure he will be blessed with great reward.

First Blessed Night:

The Prophet (ﷺ) says, "Whoever man/women from my Ummah wants his/her grave to be fulfilled with light, then he/she should perform Iba'dat frequently during the blessed nights of Ramadan. By the blessing of this Iba'dat, the evils will be eliminated from his/her record book and the rewards will be mentioned."

The divine service of this night is better than divine service by seventy thousand nights.

In the night of the 21st of Ramadan one should offer four rak'ats of Nafl prayer with two Salaams. In this prayer after the recitation of  Surat Al-Fātiĥah he should recite Surat Al-Qadr followed by Surat Al-'Ikhlāş one time, and after saying SALAAM, Holy Durood seventy times.

Surat Al-Fātiĥah (The Opener) سورة الفاتح

                                (بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ)

(In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.)
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
[All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds -
الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense
   إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
         اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Guide us to the straight path -
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

Surat Al-Qadr (The Power) - سورة القدر

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

Surat Al-'Ikhlāş (The Sincerity) - سورة الإخلاص

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
Say, "He is Allah , [who is] One,
اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
Allah , the Eternal Refuge.
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
He neither begets nor is born,
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Nor is there to Him any equivalent.
[Translation By Sahih International]

The Angels will ask Allaah(S.W.T) for the forgiveness of those who offer this prayer. In-sha-Allaah.
In the night of 21st of Ramadan one should offer two rak'ats prayers. In each rak'ats after Surat Al-Fātiĥah, he should recite Surat Al-Qadr one time and Surat Al-'Ikhlāş three times. And after being free from the prayers he should say 'Istighfar' seventy times.
                                                                      Istighfar

                                           بسم الله الرحمن الرحي

                            أسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَ أتُوبُ إلَيْهِ
                                          Astaghfirullaha wa atūūbu ilai(hi)
(I seek the Forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him.)
                                                         [Sahih al Bukhari, Muslim 4:2075]

By the blessing of this prayer and the Blessed Night, all the sins will be forgive. If Allaah(S.W.T) the Exalted will.

5 Things To Do On Laylatul Qadr

So valuable is this Night of Qadr that the Quran devotes a special surah to it “Lailatul Qadr is better than a thousand months” [97:3]
This one night surpasses the value of 30,000 nights. The most authentic account of the occurrence of the Night indicates that it can occur on any one of the last ten, odd numbered nights of Ramadan, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29.
We should strive to stay up at least on the odd numbered nights of the last ten days. If we can't manage that then let us pray at least on the 27th night. If one prays on all of the last odd numbered nights then there is more chance that one may have caught this most powerful night and the reward is of over 83 YEARS OF WORSHIP! Subhanallah!                                                                       Most will not even live upto that age!
It is a night that we CANNOT miss out on so here is how we can maximise this blessed night:
1. Recite the Qur’an abundantly-
Az-Zuhri used to say upon the coming of Ramadan, “It is only about reciting the Qur’an and feeding the poor.”
Abdur-Raziq said, “When Ramadan came, Sufyan Ath-Thawri would give up all acts of (voluntary) worship and devote himself to the recitation of the Qur’an.”
Laylatul Qadr is the night the Qur'an was revealed so we should spend much of the night reciting it for we will gain 700 Hasanah or more by reciting each letter!

2. Strive to gain forgiveness-
One should strive and do their utmost to gain the mercy of Allah(SWT) especially in the odd numbered nights of the last ten days. If one leaves Ramadan without gaining the mercy of Allah(SWT) then surely they are the most unfortunate ones and are the biggest losers in this world and the next.
The main Dua for Laylatul Qadr is the following:
Aisha (Ra) said: “I asked the Messenger of Allah: 'O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?' He said: 'Say: O Allah, You are pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.'
"Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'annee"
(Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Tirmidhi).
Gaining forgiveness on Laylatul Qadr
Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim).
We should sincerely repent for past and present sins with the intention of not repeating them again and ask of Allah(SWT) to help us prevent ourselves from doing them again and ask Allah(SWT) to perfect our characters and to help us improve ourselves in everyway possible.

3. Do much Superogatory Prayers (Nafil)-
Rabi'ah ibn Malik al-Aslami reported that the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam said: "Ask (anything)." Rabi'ah said: "I ask of you to be your companion in paradise." The Prophet said: "Or anything else?" Rabi'ah said: "That is it." The Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam said to him: "Then help me by making many prostrations (i.e., supererogatory prayers)." (Muslim)
The Prophet peace be upon him said: “Whoever draws near to Allaah(SWT) during it (Ramadan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.” – Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887.
In this most blessed month of Ramadan all good deeds are multiplied by 70 or more. Every Nafil one prays one will gain the reward of a Fard Salaah and every Fard Salah is the reward of 70 Fard salaah. Subhanallah! What other time of the year is this possible??????      NONE!                         So let us make the best of these precious seconds and pray as many Nafil prayers as is possible!
Here are some Nafil prayers we can pray on Laylatul Qadr:
1. Two Rakat after performing Wudu (Ablution)
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah(SWT) be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Bilal (may Allah(SWT) be pleased with him): “Tell me about the best of your deeds (i.e. one which you deem the most rewarding) since your embracing Islam because I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise.” Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: “I do not consider any act of mine more rewarding than that whenever I make ablution at any time of night or day, I perform Prayer for as much as was destined for me to do.” (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)”
2. Tahajjud
Imam Abu Sa'id al-Khadimi said,
"There is scholarly consensus (ijma`) that among the best of virtuous acts is the night vigil prayer." [al-Bariqa al-Mahmudiyya Sharh al-Tariqa al-Muhammadiyya]
The scholars derived the following in regards to Tahajjud from the Qur'an and prophetic hadiths:
1. The minimal night vigil prayer is 2 rakats. [Hindiyya, quoting Fath al-Qadir]
2. Its optimal recommended amount is 8 rakats, because this was the general practice of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him, his family, and companions). [Hindiyya, quoting Fath al-Qadir]
3. Lengthier recitation is superior to a larger number of rakats prayed. [Durr al-Mukhtar, Radd al-Muhtar]
4. It is recommended to start the night vigil with two short rakats, because of the hadith of Abu Hurayra that the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "It you get up for night prayer, start with two short rakats." [Muslim, Ahmad, Abu Dawud]
Ibn Mas`ud (Allah be pleased with him) was asked, "I cannot pray at night." He said, "Your sins have prevented you."

4. Increase in Dhikr (Rememberance of Allah)
We should glorify Allah night and day, especially in the last odd nights.
Here are some easy and very beneficial Dhikr and glorification we can do throughout the last ten odd nights:
1. Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'annee.
2. SubhanAllah.
3. Alhamdulillah.
4. Allahu Akbar.
5. Laa ilaha ilallah.
6. LA HAWLA WA LA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH.
7. Asthaghfirullah.
8. SUB-HAN'ALLAH HIL AZEEM WA BI-HAM'DIHI,
9. Subhāna-llāhi, wa-l-hamdu li-llāhi, wa lā ilāha illā-llāhu, wa-llāhu akbar. Wa lā hawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi-l-aliyyi-l-azīm
10. Lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamdu yuhyi wa yumītu wa huwa ḥayyu-llā yamūtu abadan abada, ḏū-l-jalāli wa-l-ikrām, biyadihi-l-khayr, wa huwa alā kulli Shay-in qadīr
Or the shortened version:
11. Laa ilaaha illal-laahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shay-in qadeer
One can also recite the durood that one recites in one's Salaah or a Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallim

5. Make much ‪Dua‬-
We should be very busy in Dua as much as we can especially in the last 10 odd numbered.
Allah(SWT) says in the Qur'an:
"When my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on me." [2:186]
The place of duaa is so high to Allah(SWT), that the Prophet(Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallim) had said: "Nothing is more honourable to Allah(SWT) the Most High than Du`a." [Sahih al-Jami` no.5268].
Almighty Allah(SWT) also said: "The most excellent worship is Du`a." [Sahih Al-Jami` no. 1133]
Therefore let us devote much of the night of Qadr in dua asking of Allah(SWT) for his mercy and forgiveness for all of our past sins and making firm intentions to Allah(SWT) that we will change for the better and strive to become closer to him as well as make our deen a FULL part of our lives and not just a little part of our life as Allah(SWT) says:
Allah(SWT) tells us In the Qur'an to enter fully into our deen and not partly:
O believers enter into Islam completely and do not follow the footsteps of Shaitan, surely he is your clear-cut enemy.... (Surah Al-Baqara, Ayah 208-210)
So then will we not make Islam a FULL part of our lives? This is our best opportunity and if we don't take it and death comes to us then surely we will regret it for ETERNITY!
And Allah knows best in all matters.

Laylatul-Qadr: Odd or Even Nights?

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah – Allah(SWT) have mercy on him – was asked about the Night of Decree (Laylatul-Qadr) while he was imprisoned in the Tower of Al-Jabal.
He replied:
All praise is for Allah(SWT). The Night of Decree occurs in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadaan. This is how it is authentically reported from the Prophet (PBUH). He said it is on one of the last ten nights of Ramadaan. [Recorded by al-Bukhari and others]
And it happens on one of the odd nights [of these ten]. However, the odd nights can be in terms of what has passed, so it is sought on the night of the 21st, the 23rd, the 25th, the 27th, and the 29th. And [odd nights] can also be in terms of what remains [of the month], as the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Seek it in the last ten nights], when nine [nights] remain, when seven remain, when five remain, or when three remain.”
[Recorded by al-Bukhari, see his chapter on Seeking Laylatul-Qadr on the odd nights of the last ten.]
Based on this, if the month is 30 days long, these (odd remaining nights) correspond to the [last ten] even nights (from the beginning of the month): the 22nd is when nine remain, and the night of the 24th is when seven remain. And this is how it was explained by Abu Sa’id al-Khudree in the authentic hadeeth. [Recorded by Muslim, Abu Dawud and others] And this is how the Prophet (PBUH) held the night prayers during the month.
And if the month is 29 days long, [counting the nights that] remain of the month [produces the same result as counting] what has passed.
That being the case, the believer should seek [the Night of Decree] on all of the last ten nights, as the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Seek it in the last 10 nights.”
‘Aa’ishah (RA) asked:
“O Messenger of Allah! If I find Laylatul-Qadr, what do you see that I should say in supplication?”
He replied:
“Say: ‘O Allah! You are the One Who pardons greatly, and loves to pardon, so pardon me.”
(Allaahumma! Innaka ‘Afuwwun; Tuhibbul-‘Afwa Fa’fu ‘Annee)
[Tirmidhee (3513) and Ibn Maajah (3850) – authenticated by Tirmidhee and al-Albaani]

Last Ten Days Of ‪‎Ramadan‬

Ideas for the Last ten days of ‪#‎Ramadan‬:
1. Give 1 Dinar in Charity every day, So if it falls on Laylatul-Qadr it's as if u gave charity everyday for 84 years.
2. Pray two Ra'kaat everyday, So if it falls on Laylatul-Qadr it's as if u prayed everyday for 84 years.
3. Read Surah Ikhlaas three times a day, So if it falls on Laylatul-Qadr it's as if u read the whole ‪#‎Quran‬ everyday for 84 years.
Allah(SWT) make us of the victorious.

Value Of Tear

Narrated Abu Huraira: "The Prophet (ﷺ) said Allah(SWT) will give shade to seven (types of people) under His Shade (on the Day of Resurrection). (one of them will be) a person who remembers Allah(SWT) and his eyes are then flooded with tears".
[Sahih Al Bukhari]
Crying and Beseeching Allah(SWT) in times of hardship comes naturally. Especially when we are feeling helpless. This problem arises when we are surrounded with blessings and yet our heart yearns for the sweetness of crying out to Allah(SWT) either in repentance or in humble gratitude.
1. Imagine yourself lying alone in your grave.
2. Imagine your sins that Allah
(SWT) in His ultimate mercy covered and has still kept hidden.
3. Imagine seeing Hell fire.
4. Imagine standing naked on the day of judgment waiting to receive your book of deeds.
5. Imagine Allah
(SWT) turning away from you or making you blind on the day of judgment.
6. Imagine the innumerable blessings of Allah(SWT) that you DO NOT deserve yet Allah(SWT) has showered you with.
7. Imagine the diseases and hardships Allah(SWT) has saved you from which others are suffering with. Rape, Marital Abuse, Cancer, Abusive Parents and the list of evil things which could have happened but DID NOT is literally ENDLESS!
8. Last and the MOST IMPORTANT make a constant small effort to gain more knowledge. The greater knowledge you have about the ‪#‎seerah‬, names of Allah(SWT) and‪#‎Tafseer‬ of the Qur’an in'sha'Allah the greater will be your humility, fear and Love of Allah(SWT). We pray Allah(SWT) saves us from being those who have knowledge but are arrogant. Knowledge is beneficial only when it increases us in humility.

Be Patient When A Calamity Befalls You

We were all created for a purpose and we are all servants of Allah(SWT), He is our God, our Provider. He gave us life so that we can worship and pray to Him and He alone knows best.
As human beings, we will definitely be tested but that doesn't mean our life in this world is going to miserable. Yes, it can be miserable for that little time where you have to endure with the hardship, but through your patience you are only getting closer to Allah
(SWT) and dearer to His love. Although you are afflicted with hardship that doesn't mean you don't have the hand help of Allah(SWT), Surely, His help is more closer to you than your problems. Subhanallah! Each time you go through a hardship, it is not because Allah(SWT) hates you or is angry with you, its simply because He loves you more. Maybe through the hardship that you are undergoing, all the sins that you've committed gets washed off, it can be that Allah(SWT) wants to elevate your status in the Aakhira and He wants you to pray to Him, remember Him and cry to Him so that He can help you.

The Prophet ﷺ said, “No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah(SWT) expiates some of his sins for that,” [Bukhari]. "Certainly Allah(SWT) will bring about, after hardship, ease." [Qur’an, 65:7].

This Qura'nic verse shows how compassionate Allah(SWT) is towards His slaves. Allah(SWT) will never burden a soul beyond what it can carry. Trials and hardships have a purpose, they remind us of our Lord, if we are not close to Allah(SWT), far apart from His love, then through hardship we can get nearer to Him and His soothing Mercy. Do not greive over and complain over what befalls you, instead thank Allah(SWT) because through this, you get closer to Him.

Hazrat Imam Zainul Abedeen (a.s.) has said: “When calamities come, be patient like a noble man. Don’t complain to people about Allah
(SWT) because it is like complaining to cruel people about one who is the most Beneficent and the most Merciful".

To be patient in calamities and hardships is the best obedience to Allah
(SWT). The amount of reward is in accordance with the amount of suffering. When Allah(SWT) loves some people, He tries them with affliction. He who then is content with Allah's(SWT) decree has achieved the acceptance of Allah(SWT), and he who is dissatisfied (with Allah's(SWT) decree) will attain the anger of Allah(SWT). Whenever Allah(SWT) wills good for a person, He subjects him to adversity.

"Be patient over what befalls you"- Quraa'n [Surah Luqman Verse 17]\

The hardship that you have to endure in this Dunya is just momentary, you will get your share of peace and reward for all that you bore with patience in the Aakhira. During times like this, Pray as much as you can, you are having direct conversations with Allah(SWT) and He listen to you. Wake up during the late parts of the night and offer your Thahajjud Salah, Allah waits for you at that time, while the entire world is absorbed in sleep, you have a personal time with Allah(SWT), He waits to answer your prayers. And don't lose hope if your prayers are not answered, Either Allah(SWT) is waiting to give the best for you, He is testing you or He saves it all for the life after death. Allah(SWT) knows best what is needed for us. He loves us 70 times more than our own mother, His love for us is endless, so He wont afflict us with what we cannot take. Hardships are a way to wash off your sins and bring you back to the love of Allah(SWT), and for all we know, it can be the sole reason for you to enter Jannah as well.

"Certainly, We shall test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient - those who, when afflicted with calamity say, "Truly to Allah(SWT) we belong, and truly to Him shall we return. It is those who will be awarded blessings and mercy from their Lord; and it is those who are the guided ones." [2:155-157]

"O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah(SWT) is with the patient.” (Qur’an, 2:153)

The Virtues And Sunnahs Of Using The Miswak

The use of Miswak is to purify your mouth and to please Allah(SWT). This was also a great Sunnah of our Nabi (ﷺ.) and yet a forgotten Sunnah today. Let us strive hard to practise this forgotten Sunnah and gain the best out of it Insha Allah! It is also stated in a Hadeeth:

The importance of Miswak in Islam.

"Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu 'anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: 'Was it not for my fear of imposing a difficulty on my Ummah I would have ordered that the Miswak be used for every Salaat, and delay in Ishaa prayer '." (Bukhari)

"Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu 'anhu) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Make a regular practice of the Miswaak, for verily, it is healthy for the mouth and it is a Pleasure for the Creator (i.e. Allah(SWT) is pleased with the Muslim who uses the Miswaak)'." (Bukhari)

"Hadhrat Ayesha (Radi Allahu 'anha) narrates that Rasulullah (ﷺ) said:The reward of Salaah (Prayers) is multiplied 70 times if Miswaak was used before it".

The Sunnahs and Adhaabs of using Miswak:

1. Whilst making Wudhu to clean the teeth with Miswak:

"Verily, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak before making Wudhu (ablutions) whenever he arose from sleep, whether it be during the night or during the day." - (Abu Dawood)

Hassan bin ‘Atiyya (may Allah
(SWT) be pleased with him) states that: “Ablution is part of faith and using a Miswak is part of ablution.”

2. Miswak should not be longer than a span, the minimum distance is between the tips of the thumb and the little finger and it should not be thicker than a finger breath.

3. The Miswak should be held is such a manner that the small finger and the thumb are below the miswak and the remaining fingers on the upper side.

The virtues of using Miswak:

Nabi (ﷺ.) said: "A person who uses the Miswak regularly dies with the Kalimaah"

1. Miswak eliminates bad odors and improves the sense of taste.

2. Miswak sharpens memory power.

3. Miswak elements slime.

4. The use of Miswak creates a fragrance in the mouth.

5. The use of Miswak strengthens the gums and prevents tooth decay.

6. Miswak assists in eliminating toothache and prevents further increase of decay which has already settled.

7. Miswak is a cure for headache.

‘Aisha (may Allah(SWT) be pleased with her) states that,: “There is a cure for every illness in Miswak besides death.”

8. Miswak creates Noor on the face of the one who continuously uses it.

9. Miswak causes the teeth to glow.

10. Miswak strengthens eye sight.

11. Miswak assists digestion.

12. Miswak clears the voice.

13. The greatest benefit of using the miswak is to gain the Pleasure of Allah.

Other times when the use of Miswak is Sunnah:

1. Before undertaking a journey and returning from a journey.

2.  Before the recitation of Qur'an.

Hadhrat Ali (Radi Allahu 'anhu) said: 'Verily, your mouths are the pathways of the Qur'aan (i.e. you recite with your mouth), therefore cleanse your mouth with the Miswaak thoroughly'. -(Ibn Majaah)

3.  Before every meal:

Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu 'anhu) said: "I have used the Miswaak before sleeping, after rising, before eating and after eating, ever since I heard the Nabi (ﷺ.) advising so'.- (Ahmad)

4.  Before reading a Hadeeth.

5.  After learning or teaching the virtues of Islam.

6. When the mouth emits an odour.

7. When experiencing pangs or hunger or thirst.

8.  For making Dhikr.

9.  Before entering any good gathering.

10. Before and after leaving and entering ones House.

"Shuraih (Radi Allahu 'anhu) narrates that he asked Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) : 'What was the first thing Rasulullah (ﷺ.) did upon entering the house?'

Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) replied: 'Rasulullah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak'."- (Muslim)

11. Before sleeping and upon awakening.

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak (regularly) prior to sleeping and after rising from sleep."- (Muntakhaab)

‘Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) said :“Never woke from sleeping at any time of the day or night without cleaning his teeth with a Miswak before performing ablution.”

12. Before every Salaah:

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak at night time (i.e. Tahajjud time) after every two Rakaats Salaat he (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) performed." - (Ibn Majaah)

Hadhrat Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) narrates from Nabi (ﷺ.) : “Two Raka’aats of Salaah after using the Miswaak is more beloved unto me than seventy Raka’aats without Miswaak.” (As Sunanul Kubraa)

May Allah give us the ability to practice this wonderful Sunnah out of love and sincerity and hoping for His reward!

Adhabs And Virtues Of Jumua'h

Allhamdulillah! We have been blessed with another Jummah! Below are some of the Adhabs that should be followed on the day of Jummah according to the Hadith.

Abu Umamah (Radiyallaahu anhu) narrates that Rasullullah (ﷺ) said:
Send Salawaat on me excessively  every Friday, for the Salawaat of my Ummah are presented to me every Friday. He who invokes Salawaat excessively on me will be amongst the closest to me in rank on the Day of Resurrection. - (Baihaqi)

Hadhrat Ali Ibn Abu Taalib (Radiyallaahu anhu) narrated:
On the pulpit in the mosque of Kufah: When Friday comes, the devils go to the markets with their flags, and involve people in their needs and prevent them from the Friday prayer. The angels come early in the morning, sit at the door of the mosque, and record that so-and-so came at the first hour, and so-and-so came at the second hour until the imam comes out for preaching. When a man sits in a place where he can listen to the sermon and look at the imam, where he remains silent and does not interrupt, he will receive a double reward. If he stays away, sits in a place where he cannot listen to the sermon, silent, and does not interrupt, he will receive the reward only once. If he sits in a place where he can listen to the sermon and look at the imam, and he does not remain silent, he will have the burden of it. If anyone says to his companion sitting besides him to be silent while the imam is preaching, he is guilty of idle talk. Anyone who interrupts during the sermon will receive nothing no reward on that Friday. Then he the narrator says in the end of this tradition: I heard the Apostle of Allah(SWT) say so. (Abu Dawood 1046)

1. Jummah preparations should begin on Thursday such as clipping the nails, removing of the hair.- (Ihya aul-Uloom, vol. 1, page etc 161)

4. To use Miswaak.- (Ibid)

5. To use Attar Perfume.- (Ibid)

6. To wear nice clothes.- (Abu Dawood)

7. To proceed early as possible to the Masjid for Jummah

Rasulallah
(ﷺ)  said: “On the day of Jummah, the angels stand at the entrance of that Masjid in which Jummah salaat is to be offered. They write down the name of the person who enters the Masjid first, and thereafter the name of the person who follows, and they continue doing this. The person who entered first will receive the reward of sacrificing a camel in the path of Allah(SWT); the one who followed him will get the reward of sacrificing a cow, thereafter a chicken, thereafter the reward of giving an egg as charity in the path of Allah(SWT). Once the khutbah commences, the angels close the register and begin listening to the khutbah." -(Bukhari and Muslim)

8. To walk to the Masjid if possible for every step is a reward of a years Nafl Fast (Tirmidhi)

9. One should listen very attentively to the khutba even if one does not understand One should not speak or even warn another to keep quite while the khutba is in progress.

10. To try to sit as close as possible to the Imaam. (Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi)

11. If the Saffs (rows) are already filled, one should not jump over the shoulders of the musallies in order to get to the front. (Abu Dawood)

12. One should not fiddle with clothes or fingers but listen attentively (Ibn Majah)

13. When Rasulallah
(ﷺ) name is mentioned in the khutba then it is permissible to recite durood in the heart only without the movement of the lips or tongue.

14. Related by Hakim and Bayhaqi, from Abu Sa`id
“Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays.”

15. Rasulallah
(ﷺ) is reported to have said,
“Recite Durood upon me in abundance on the day of Jummah since they are presented to me.” (Ibn Majah)

16. Making abundant dua on Jummah
Rasulallah
(ﷺ) said: “There is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in it, his dua will definitely be accepted.” (Bukhari, Muslim)

17 . Reciting Durood 80 times after Asr:
According to a Hadith recorded in Tabarani on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (Radiyallaahu anhu) :Abu Hurraira (Radiyallaahu anhu) reports that the Holy Prophet
(ﷺ) said: “Whoever recites the following Durood eighty times immediately after Asr Salaat on Friday, before standing up from his place, Allah will forgive eighty years of sins and grant him the reward equivalent to eighty years of worship.”

18. Abu Hurraira narrated that the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) said:
The five daily prayers, and from one Jummah to the next, are an expiation for whatever sins come in between, so long as one does not commit any major sin. (Muslim, 233)

19. It was narrated from Abu Hurraira (Radiyallaahu anhu) that the Prophet
(ﷺ) said:
Who ever does Ghusl then comes to Jummah, and prays as much as Allah decrees for him, then listens attentively until the khutbah is over, then prays with him (the imam), will be forgiven for (his sins) between that and the next Jummah and three more days. (Muslim, 857)

20.Coming early to Jummah brings a great reward.

Abu Hurraira (Radiyallaahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) said:
“Whoever does Ghusl on Friday like Ghusl for janaabah, then goes to the prayer (in the first hour, i.e., early), it is as if he sacrificed a camel. Whoever goes in the second hour, it is as if he sacrificed a cow; whoever goes in the third hour, it is as if he sacrificed a horned ram; whoever goes in the fourth hour, it is as if he sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour it is as if he offered an egg. When the imam comes out, the angels come to listen to the khutbah.” (Bukhari, 814 and Muslim, 850)

21. If a person walks to Jummah prayer, for every step he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year
.
It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi that the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) said: Whoever does Ghusl on Friday and causes (his wife) to do Ghusl, and sets out early, and comes close to the imam and listens and keeps quiet, for every step he takes he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year.” (Tirmidhi, 496)
