The most challenging Salah can be Fajr for many of us, but the stronger your Imaan is the quicker and easier it is for you to wake up when dawn breaks and offer your Fajr prayer. There can be no better way to get started with your day than to start it up with following the FAJR PRAYER. you sacrifice your sleep and wake up during the nights for the sake of Allah whilst the others spend their time sleeping. we Muslims have been blessed with an amazing opportunity to worship Allah while the others sleep, Subhanallah! What an honour! A day that starts off with Fajr is definitely a day worth living.
Jundub ibn Sufyan reported that the Messenger of Allah(SWT), may Allah(SWT) bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who prays the Subh prayer is in Allah's(SWT) keeping. O son of Adam, watch out that Allah(SWT) does not demand from you anything that is in His keeping." [Muslim]
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah(SWT), may Allah(SWT) bless him and grant him peace, said, "And if they only knew what was in the prayers of 'Isha' and Subh [fajr], they would come to them even if they had to crawl." [Agreed upon]
The reason why Allah(SWT) has gifted us with Fajr is to keep us connected to Him even during the parts of the night. You would never like to miss your Fajr prayer if you have truly understood its value and the reward it holds.
Allah(SWT), the most high says in the Qur'an:“So establish the Prayer after the declining of the sun [from its zenith, for Dhuhr and then Asr] to the dusk of night [Maghrib and then ‘Isha] and the [Quranic]recitation of Fajr [prayer]. Indeed, the [Quranic] recitation of Fajr is witnessed.” [al-Quran 17:78]
The beauty of Fajr is just beyond amazing and the feeling after having performed it is even better Allhamdulillah! When you make it a habit not to miss your Fajr and Asr prayer which has high chances of people missing it because at the time of Fajr people are too engrossed in sleeping and during Asr they are engrossed in trade and work, regardless of all the work you have, you yet take a little part of your time to spend it for the sake of Allah(SWT). Thats when you are truly blessed and thats when you don't miss the rest of the other Salahs as well
A few warnings about missing Fajr:
The Prophet [Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him] said:
“The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are ‘Isha and Fajr [AM: because they prefer the comfort of sleep to prayer], but if they only knew what they contain, they would come even if they had to crawl.” [Ahmad]
&
“Whoever prays the dawn prayer [Fajr], then He is under Allah’s(SWT) protection. So beware, O son of Adam, that Allah(SWT) doesn't call you to account for being absent from His protection for any reason.” [Muslim]
Understand the seriousness of spending your day without gaining the protection of Allah(SWT), if He doesn't protect you then who else will? The very thought of not gaining Allah's(SWT) protection should push you towards making an effort to wake up for Fajr and keep trying and striving until waking up for Fajr becomes a daily habit for you Insha Allah!
Every night before you go to bed, have the intention to wake up for Fajr the next morning and ask Allah(SWT) to give you the ability to wake up for Fajr without missing it. the only reason why some Muslims fail to make it up for Fajr is because they give more preference to the world than to that of the hereafter, we get so absorbed in worldly affairs than we forget the Prayer that can be the one reason for our success in the Aakhira! And for the ones who are attracted towards the Mercy and love of Allah(SWT) consider Fajr more important than the rest of the days duty. and that is what brings in peace and happiness into their lives and in their days as well,May Allah(SWT) the most high make us all among the ones who can strive hard and wake up for Fajr out of love, submission, gratitude and sacrifice our nights to please Him and get closer to Him! Aameen!
