Value Of Tear

Narrated Abu Huraira: "The Prophet (ﷺ) said Allah(SWT) will give shade to seven (types of people) under His Shade (on the Day of Resurrection). (one of them will be) a person who remembers Allah(SWT) and his eyes are then flooded with tears".
[Sahih Al Bukhari]
Crying and Beseeching Allah(SWT) in times of hardship comes naturally. Especially when we are feeling helpless. This problem arises when we are surrounded with blessings and yet our heart yearns for the sweetness of crying out to Allah(SWT) either in repentance or in humble gratitude.
1. Imagine yourself lying alone in your grave.
2. Imagine your sins that Allah
(SWT) in His ultimate mercy covered and has still kept hidden.
3. Imagine seeing Hell fire.
4. Imagine standing naked on the day of judgment waiting to receive your book of deeds.
5. Imagine Allah
(SWT) turning away from you or making you blind on the day of judgment.
6. Imagine the innumerable blessings of Allah(SWT) that you DO NOT deserve yet Allah(SWT) has showered you with.
7. Imagine the diseases and hardships Allah(SWT) has saved you from which others are suffering with. Rape, Marital Abuse, Cancer, Abusive Parents and the list of evil things which could have happened but DID NOT is literally ENDLESS!
8. Last and the MOST IMPORTANT make a constant small effort to gain more knowledge. The greater knowledge you have about the ‪#‎seerah‬, names of Allah(SWT) and‪#‎Tafseer‬ of the Qur’an in'sha'Allah the greater will be your humility, fear and Love of Allah(SWT). We pray Allah(SWT) saves us from being those who have knowledge but are arrogant. Knowledge is beneficial only when it increases us in humility.

Be Patient When A Calamity Befalls You

We were all created for a purpose and we are all servants of Allah(SWT), He is our God, our Provider. He gave us life so that we can worship and pray to Him and He alone knows best.
As human beings, we will definitely be tested but that doesn't mean our life in this world is going to miserable. Yes, it can be miserable for that little time where you have to endure with the hardship, but through your patience you are only getting closer to Allah
(SWT) and dearer to His love. Although you are afflicted with hardship that doesn't mean you don't have the hand help of Allah(SWT), Surely, His help is more closer to you than your problems. Subhanallah! Each time you go through a hardship, it is not because Allah(SWT) hates you or is angry with you, its simply because He loves you more. Maybe through the hardship that you are undergoing, all the sins that you've committed gets washed off, it can be that Allah(SWT) wants to elevate your status in the Aakhira and He wants you to pray to Him, remember Him and cry to Him so that He can help you.

The Prophet ﷺ said, “No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah(SWT) expiates some of his sins for that,” [Bukhari]. "Certainly Allah(SWT) will bring about, after hardship, ease." [Qur’an, 65:7].

This Qura'nic verse shows how compassionate Allah(SWT) is towards His slaves. Allah(SWT) will never burden a soul beyond what it can carry. Trials and hardships have a purpose, they remind us of our Lord, if we are not close to Allah(SWT), far apart from His love, then through hardship we can get nearer to Him and His soothing Mercy. Do not greive over and complain over what befalls you, instead thank Allah(SWT) because through this, you get closer to Him.

Hazrat Imam Zainul Abedeen (a.s.) has said: “When calamities come, be patient like a noble man. Don’t complain to people about Allah
(SWT) because it is like complaining to cruel people about one who is the most Beneficent and the most Merciful".

To be patient in calamities and hardships is the best obedience to Allah
(SWT). The amount of reward is in accordance with the amount of suffering. When Allah(SWT) loves some people, He tries them with affliction. He who then is content with Allah's(SWT) decree has achieved the acceptance of Allah(SWT), and he who is dissatisfied (with Allah's(SWT) decree) will attain the anger of Allah(SWT). Whenever Allah(SWT) wills good for a person, He subjects him to adversity.

"Be patient over what befalls you"- Quraa'n [Surah Luqman Verse 17]\

The hardship that you have to endure in this Dunya is just momentary, you will get your share of peace and reward for all that you bore with patience in the Aakhira. During times like this, Pray as much as you can, you are having direct conversations with Allah(SWT) and He listen to you. Wake up during the late parts of the night and offer your Thahajjud Salah, Allah waits for you at that time, while the entire world is absorbed in sleep, you have a personal time with Allah(SWT), He waits to answer your prayers. And don't lose hope if your prayers are not answered, Either Allah(SWT) is waiting to give the best for you, He is testing you or He saves it all for the life after death. Allah(SWT) knows best what is needed for us. He loves us 70 times more than our own mother, His love for us is endless, so He wont afflict us with what we cannot take. Hardships are a way to wash off your sins and bring you back to the love of Allah(SWT), and for all we know, it can be the sole reason for you to enter Jannah as well.

"Certainly, We shall test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient - those who, when afflicted with calamity say, "Truly to Allah(SWT) we belong, and truly to Him shall we return. It is those who will be awarded blessings and mercy from their Lord; and it is those who are the guided ones." [2:155-157]

"O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah(SWT) is with the patient.” (Qur’an, 2:153)

The Virtues And Sunnahs Of Using The Miswak

The use of Miswak is to purify your mouth and to please Allah(SWT). This was also a great Sunnah of our Nabi (ﷺ.) and yet a forgotten Sunnah today. Let us strive hard to practise this forgotten Sunnah and gain the best out of it Insha Allah! It is also stated in a Hadeeth:

The importance of Miswak in Islam.

"Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu 'anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: 'Was it not for my fear of imposing a difficulty on my Ummah I would have ordered that the Miswak be used for every Salaat, and delay in Ishaa prayer '." (Bukhari)

"Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu 'anhu) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Make a regular practice of the Miswaak, for verily, it is healthy for the mouth and it is a Pleasure for the Creator (i.e. Allah(SWT) is pleased with the Muslim who uses the Miswaak)'." (Bukhari)

"Hadhrat Ayesha (Radi Allahu 'anha) narrates that Rasulullah (ﷺ) said:The reward of Salaah (Prayers) is multiplied 70 times if Miswaak was used before it".

The Sunnahs and Adhaabs of using Miswak:

1. Whilst making Wudhu to clean the teeth with Miswak:

"Verily, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak before making Wudhu (ablutions) whenever he arose from sleep, whether it be during the night or during the day." - (Abu Dawood)

Hassan bin ‘Atiyya (may Allah
(SWT) be pleased with him) states that: “Ablution is part of faith and using a Miswak is part of ablution.”

2. Miswak should not be longer than a span, the minimum distance is between the tips of the thumb and the little finger and it should not be thicker than a finger breath.

3. The Miswak should be held is such a manner that the small finger and the thumb are below the miswak and the remaining fingers on the upper side.

The virtues of using Miswak:

Nabi (ﷺ.) said: "A person who uses the Miswak regularly dies with the Kalimaah"

1. Miswak eliminates bad odors and improves the sense of taste.

2. Miswak sharpens memory power.

3. Miswak elements slime.

4. The use of Miswak creates a fragrance in the mouth.

5. The use of Miswak strengthens the gums and prevents tooth decay.

6. Miswak assists in eliminating toothache and prevents further increase of decay which has already settled.

7. Miswak is a cure for headache.

‘Aisha (may Allah(SWT) be pleased with her) states that,: “There is a cure for every illness in Miswak besides death.”

8. Miswak creates Noor on the face of the one who continuously uses it.

9. Miswak causes the teeth to glow.

10. Miswak strengthens eye sight.

11. Miswak assists digestion.

12. Miswak clears the voice.

13. The greatest benefit of using the miswak is to gain the Pleasure of Allah.

Other times when the use of Miswak is Sunnah:

1. Before undertaking a journey and returning from a journey.

2.  Before the recitation of Qur'an.

Hadhrat Ali (Radi Allahu 'anhu) said: 'Verily, your mouths are the pathways of the Qur'aan (i.e. you recite with your mouth), therefore cleanse your mouth with the Miswaak thoroughly'. -(Ibn Majaah)

3.  Before every meal:

Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu 'anhu) said: "I have used the Miswaak before sleeping, after rising, before eating and after eating, ever since I heard the Nabi (ﷺ.) advising so'.- (Ahmad)

4.  Before reading a Hadeeth.

5.  After learning or teaching the virtues of Islam.

6. When the mouth emits an odour.

7. When experiencing pangs or hunger or thirst.

8.  For making Dhikr.

9.  Before entering any good gathering.

10. Before and after leaving and entering ones House.

"Shuraih (Radi Allahu 'anhu) narrates that he asked Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) : 'What was the first thing Rasulullah (ﷺ.) did upon entering the house?'

Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) replied: 'Rasulullah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak'."- (Muslim)

11. Before sleeping and upon awakening.

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak (regularly) prior to sleeping and after rising from sleep."- (Muntakhaab)

‘Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) said :“Never woke from sleeping at any time of the day or night without cleaning his teeth with a Miswak before performing ablution.”

12. Before every Salaah:

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ.) would use the Miswaak at night time (i.e. Tahajjud time) after every two Rakaats Salaat he (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) performed." - (Ibn Majaah)

Hadhrat Aisha (Radi Allahu 'anha) narrates from Nabi (ﷺ.) : “Two Raka’aats of Salaah after using the Miswaak is more beloved unto me than seventy Raka’aats without Miswaak.” (As Sunanul Kubraa)

May Allah give us the ability to practice this wonderful Sunnah out of love and sincerity and hoping for His reward!

Adhabs And Virtues Of Jumua'h

Allhamdulillah! We have been blessed with another Jummah! Below are some of the Adhabs that should be followed on the day of Jummah according to the Hadith.

Abu Umamah (Radiyallaahu anhu) narrates that Rasullullah (ﷺ) said:
Send Salawaat on me excessively  every Friday, for the Salawaat of my Ummah are presented to me every Friday. He who invokes Salawaat excessively on me will be amongst the closest to me in rank on the Day of Resurrection. - (Baihaqi)

Hadhrat Ali Ibn Abu Taalib (Radiyallaahu anhu) narrated:
On the pulpit in the mosque of Kufah: When Friday comes, the devils go to the markets with their flags, and involve people in their needs and prevent them from the Friday prayer. The angels come early in the morning, sit at the door of the mosque, and record that so-and-so came at the first hour, and so-and-so came at the second hour until the imam comes out for preaching. When a man sits in a place where he can listen to the sermon and look at the imam, where he remains silent and does not interrupt, he will receive a double reward. If he stays away, sits in a place where he cannot listen to the sermon, silent, and does not interrupt, he will receive the reward only once. If he sits in a place where he can listen to the sermon and look at the imam, and he does not remain silent, he will have the burden of it. If anyone says to his companion sitting besides him to be silent while the imam is preaching, he is guilty of idle talk. Anyone who interrupts during the sermon will receive nothing no reward on that Friday. Then he the narrator says in the end of this tradition: I heard the Apostle of Allah(SWT) say so. (Abu Dawood 1046)

1. Jummah preparations should begin on Thursday such as clipping the nails, removing of the hair.- (Ihya aul-Uloom, vol. 1, page etc 161)

2. To have a bath Ghusl. -(Bukhari, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)

3. On one Friday,
Rasulallah (ﷺ) said: “O Muslims! Allah Ta’ala has made this day a day of Eid. So have a bath on this day, whoever has perfume should apply it, and use the Miswaak. “ (Ibn Majah)

4. To use Miswaak.- (Ibid)

5. To use Attar Perfume.- (Ibid)

6. To wear nice clothes.- (Abu Dawood)

7. To proceed early as possible to the Masjid for Jummah

Rasulallah
(ﷺ)  said: “On the day of Jummah, the angels stand at the entrance of that Masjid in which Jummah salaat is to be offered. They write down the name of the person who enters the Masjid first, and thereafter the name of the person who follows, and they continue doing this. The person who entered first will receive the reward of sacrificing a camel in the path of Allah(SWT); the one who followed him will get the reward of sacrificing a cow, thereafter a chicken, thereafter the reward of giving an egg as charity in the path of Allah(SWT). Once the khutbah commences, the angels close the register and begin listening to the khutbah." -(Bukhari and Muslim)

8. To walk to the Masjid if possible for every step is a reward of a years Nafl Fast (Tirmidhi)

9. One should listen very attentively to the khutba even if one does not understand One should not speak or even warn another to keep quite while the khutba is in progress.

10. To try to sit as close as possible to the Imaam. (Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi)

11. If the Saffs (rows) are already filled, one should not jump over the shoulders of the musallies in order to get to the front. (Abu Dawood)

12. One should not fiddle with clothes or fingers but listen attentively (Ibn Majah)

13. When Rasulallah
(ﷺ) name is mentioned in the khutba then it is permissible to recite durood in the heart only without the movement of the lips or tongue.

14. Related by Hakim and Bayhaqi, from Abu Sa`id
“Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays.”

15. Rasulallah
(ﷺ) is reported to have said,
“Recite Durood upon me in abundance on the day of Jummah since they are presented to me.” (Ibn Majah)

16. Making abundant dua on Jummah
Rasulallah
(ﷺ) said: “There is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in it, his dua will definitely be accepted.” (Bukhari, Muslim)

17 . Reciting Durood 80 times after Asr:
According to a Hadith recorded in Tabarani on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (Radiyallaahu anhu) :Abu Hurraira (Radiyallaahu anhu) reports that the Holy Prophet
(ﷺ) said: “Whoever recites the following Durood eighty times immediately after Asr Salaat on Friday, before standing up from his place, Allah will forgive eighty years of sins and grant him the reward equivalent to eighty years of worship.”

18. Abu Hurraira narrated that the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) said:
The five daily prayers, and from one Jummah to the next, are an expiation for whatever sins come in between, so long as one does not commit any major sin. (Muslim, 233)

19. It was narrated from Abu Hurraira (Radiyallaahu anhu) that the Prophet
(ﷺ) said:
Who ever does Ghusl then comes to Jummah, and prays as much as Allah decrees for him, then listens attentively until the khutbah is over, then prays with him (the imam), will be forgiven for (his sins) between that and the next Jummah and three more days. (Muslim, 857)

20.Coming early to Jummah brings a great reward.

Abu Hurraira (Radiyallaahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) said:
“Whoever does Ghusl on Friday like Ghusl for janaabah, then goes to the prayer (in the first hour, i.e., early), it is as if he sacrificed a camel. Whoever goes in the second hour, it is as if he sacrificed a cow; whoever goes in the third hour, it is as if he sacrificed a horned ram; whoever goes in the fourth hour, it is as if he sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour it is as if he offered an egg. When the imam comes out, the angels come to listen to the khutbah.” (Bukhari, 814 and Muslim, 850)

21. If a person walks to Jummah prayer, for every step he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year
.
It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi that the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) said: Whoever does Ghusl on Friday and causes (his wife) to do Ghusl, and sets out early, and comes close to the imam and listens and keeps quiet, for every step he takes he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year.” (Tirmidhi, 496)

The Importance Of Fajr In Our Lives

The most challenging Salah can be Fajr for many of us, but the stronger your Imaan is the quicker and easier it is for you to wake up when dawn breaks and offer your Fajr prayer. There can be no better way to get started with your day than to start it up with following the FAJR PRAYER. you sacrifice your sleep and wake up during the nights for the sake of Allah whilst the others spend their time sleeping. we Muslims have been blessed with an amazing opportunity to worship Allah while the others sleep, Subhanallah! What an honour! A day that starts off with Fajr is definitely a day worth living.

Jundub ibn Sufyan reported that the Messenger of Allah(SWT), may Allah
(SWT) bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who prays the Subh prayer is in Allah's(SWT) keeping. O son of Adam, watch out that Allah(SWT) does not demand from you anything that is in His keeping." [Muslim]

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah(SWT), may Allah(SWT) bless him and grant him peace, said, "And if they only knew what was in the prayers of 'Isha' and Subh [fajr], they would come to them even if they had to crawl." [Agreed upon]

The reason why Allah
(SWT) has gifted us with Fajr is to keep us connected to Him even during the parts of the night. You would never like to miss your Fajr prayer if you have truly understood its value and the reward it holds.

Allah
(SWT), the most high says in the Qur'an:“So establish the Prayer after the declining of the sun [from its zenith, for Dhuhr and then Asr] to the dusk of night [Maghrib and then ‘Isha] and the [Quranic]recitation of Fajr [prayer]. Indeed, the [Quranic] recitation of Fajr is witnessed.” [al-Quran 17:78]

The beauty of Fajr is just beyond amazing and the feeling after having performed it is even better Allhamdulillah! When you make it a habit not to miss your Fajr and Asr prayer which has high chances of people missing it because at the time of Fajr people are too engrossed in sleeping and during Asr they are engrossed in trade and work, regardless of all the work you have, you yet take a little part of your time to spend it for the sake of Allah(SWT). Thats when you are truly blessed and thats when you don't miss the rest of the other Salahs as well

A few warnings about missing Fajr:

The Prophet [Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him] said:
“The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are ‘Isha and Fajr [AM: because they prefer the comfort of sleep to prayer], but if they only knew what they contain, they would come even if they had to crawl.” [Ahmad]

       &

“Whoever prays the dawn prayer [Fajr], then He is under Allah’s(SWT) protection. So beware, O son of Adam, that Allah(SWT) doesn't call you to account for being absent from His protection for any reason.” [Muslim]

Understand the seriousness of spending your day without gaining the protection of Allah
(SWT), if He doesn't protect you then who else will? The very thought of not gaining Allah's(SWT) protection should push you towards making an effort to wake up for Fajr and keep trying and striving until waking up for Fajr becomes a daily habit for you Insha Allah!

Every night before you go to bed, have the intention to wake up for Fajr the next morning and ask Allah
(SWT) to give you the ability to wake up for Fajr without missing it. the only reason why some Muslims fail to make it up for Fajr is because they give more preference to the world than to that of the hereafter, we get so absorbed in worldly affairs than we forget the Prayer that can be the one reason for our success in the Aakhira! And for the ones who are attracted towards the Mercy and love of Allah(SWT) consider Fajr more important than the rest of the days duty. and that is what brings in peace and happiness into their lives and in their days as well,May Allah(SWT) the most high make us all among the ones who can strive hard and wake up for Fajr out of love, submission, gratitude and sacrifice our nights to please Him and get closer to Him! Aameen!

Allaah(SWT) Loves Sujood

Allah(SWT) does not answer our prayers because He wants to see us on the prayer mat more often. Had He answered them right away, would we lower ourselves in ‪#‎sujood‬? Shed a tear? Turn to Him? Talk to Him?
Imagine a person whose company you enjoy the most. When they come you don’t want them to leave. You abandon what you are doing and are attentive to them. You rejoice when they talk and you want to hear them continue talking just to be with them. The longer this meeting lasts, the more delighted you feel.
Same goes with Allah(SWT), our Du’as and those heartfelt talks that we make with Him in secret He loves us hence He wants to see us and hear from us more often.
There is always a blessing in disguise. What worldly blessing could be more valuable than being in the Company of Allah's(SWT)?
Look at your Du’as and trials from a different perspective and be humbled in gratitude that Allah(SWT) chose YOU to be with Him. Not many people are granted this Honorable Company.
     May Allaah(SWT) blessed all....   Aameen!!!

Great Benefits Of Reciting The Holy Quran

Indeed to reflect on Allah(SWT) verses is a form of worship that will draw one close to Allah(SWT) Most High. This reflection is not a reckless and wandering one, rather it includes a study of the classical tafseer of the verses being pondered over, as this would fulfill Ibnul-Qayyim’s great advice, “Such as reflecting over a book which a person has memorized and he expounds it so that he may understand what its author intends by it.”

Indeed the Book of Allah
(SWT) is not a book like any other, it is the timeless Speech of Allah(SWT), not a created thing, the study guide for life and death and what comes after. Therefore it deserves a more careful study than anyone else’s speech. It necessitates that its reader return to the early narrations of those who witnessed its revelation and heard its explanation by the one deputed by Allah(SWT) to rehearse and explain His Words to humanity (ﷺ). For if one would try to ponder over the meanings of the verses without having done this study, then surely the filth of the time that he lives in and his ignorance of the correct application and understanding that the early Muslims had would cause him to understand some things not intended by Allah Most High, and therefore he would go astray, thinking to be worshipping Allah. So every sincere Muslim who hopes to earn Allah’s Love breciting and reflecting over Allah’s Book, then let him hold tight to the meanings explained by the Prophet (ﷺ), and those taught by the companions and their immediate followers, and the early scholars of Islam.

So dear brother and sister! Know that reciting and pondering over the Book of Allah, devoting your time regularly to its study and implementation has tremendous benefits in this life and the Next, so let us now look to just a few of them to attach ourselves more firmly to Allah’s Majestic Words. Each benefit stands as enough of an encouragement to shun any laziness we have and dedicate ourselves to the Qur’an.

1 - Reading and reflecting over the Qur’an fulfils an Islamic duty.

Indeed the Prophet
(ﷺ) summarized this Religion with his statement: “The Religion is naseehah (sincerity)!” So then Tameem-Ibn Aws, may Allah(SWT) be pleased with him, then said, “We asked, ‘To whom?’” He said: “To Allah(SWT), HIS BOOK, His Messenger, the leaders of the people, and their common folk.” [Muslim] The sincerity that is due to the Book of Allah(SWT) includes its regular recitation, learning the rules of Tajweed and reciting it beautifully, learning about its Tafseer and the reasons for its revelation, affirming that it is the Truth, the perfect Speech of Allah(SWT) and not part of the creation, honoring it and defending it, abiding by the orders and prohibitions found in it, teaching it and calling to it. [See Jaami’ul-’Uloom wal-Hikam of Ibn Rajab Al-Hambalee] So by reading and reflecting over the Qur’an, one fulfills an obligation and is rewarded for that. Upon fulfilling this obligation, the Qur’an then becomes a proof for him on the Day of Judgment! And that is our second benefit we will take by embracing this Noble Book...

2 - The Qur’an will be a proof for us on the Day of Judgment.

This is due to the statement of the Messenger: “And the Qur’an is a proof for you or against you.” [Muslim]. So one of two things will occur with this proof, the Book of Allah
(SWT). It will either be in your favor, a proof for you on the Day when you will need every single good deed, or it will be something standing against you, the very Speech of your Creator, a proof against you! Who could be saved from the terrors of that Day if Allah's(SWT) own Speech is against him?!?! Think carefully, dear Muslim brother or sister, about your position with the Qur’an! Are you neglecting it, contradicting it, being heedless of its orders and prohibitions, are you thinking deeply over it?! Will it be on your side on the Day of Judgment.?! O Allah! We ask you, by Your Glorious Speech and the rest of your beautiful Names and Attributes, to make the Qur’an a proof for us! O Allah! Don’t make the Qur’an a proof against us on that Day, and save us from the hellfire! For if Allah makes the Qur’an a proof in our favour on that Day, then it would also be an intercessor for us, when NO intercession will take place except by His Permission.

3 - The Qur’an will intercede for us on the Day of Judgment.

The proof: Aboo Umaamah relates that the Prophet
(ﷺ) said: “Read the Qur’an, for verily it will come on the Day of Standing as an intercessor for its companions.” [Muslim]

4 - Your status in this life will be raised.

In Saheeh Muslim, we find a lovely story, about how a man from the people of Jannah, ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab, understood this principle. Some men came to question him during his khilaafah about the leadership of Makkah, they asked, “Who do you use to govern Makkah?” He said, “Ibn Abzaa.” They asked, “And who is Ibn Abzaa?” Umar replied, “A freed slave from those we freed.” They remarked, “You left a freed slave in charge of the people of the Valley (the noble tribes of the Quraysh)!?!?” So he answered them, “Verily he is a reader of the Book of Allah and is knowledgeable about the obligations of the Muslims. Haven’t you heard the statement of your Messenger: “Verily Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it.”

5 - You will be from the best of the people.

‘Uthmaan, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet
(ﷺ) said: “The best of you are the ones who learn the Qur’an and teach it to others” [Al-Bukhari]

6 - There are ten rewards for each letter you recite from the Qur’an.

As an authentic Hadith in At-Tirmidhi proves: “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well.

7 - The reciters of the Qur’an will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels.

‘Aa’ishah, may Allah
(SWT) be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet(ﷺ) said: “Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

So dear brother or sister Muslim, do not let the Shaytan give you false excuses, such as “I am not an ‘Arab,” or “Its not my language.” This hadith is a firm proof against these whisperings. Dedicate yourself to the Book of Allah
(SWT), whether you are an ‘Arab or not! The excuses have been eliminated and the pathway has been cleared for you to embrace the Book of Allah(SWT) without holding back or offering excuses! And surely you will not hesitate to seek a teacher or a study circle for the Qur’an once you hear the last and perhaps greatest benefits of reading and contemplating over the Qur’an...

8 - Your position in Paradise is determined by the amount of Qur’an you memorize in this life!
‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Amr ibn Al-’Aas heard the Prophet
(ﷺ) saying: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: Read and elevate (through the levels of the Paradise) and beautify your voice as you used to do when you were in the dunyaa! For verily, your position in the Paradise will be at the last verse you recite!” [Aboo Daawood and At-Tirmithee, saheeh]

9 - The Qur’an will lead you to Paradise!
The Prophet said: “The Qur’an is an intercessor, something given permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire.” [An authentic hadith found in At-Tabaraanee, on the authority of ‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood]

Know, dear brother or sister, that these nine benefits from the many benefits available can only be attained by a sincere commitment to the Book of Allah
(SWT), not by a person’s mere statement, “I love the Qur’an, it’s beautiful.” Rather the heart must be sincerely attached to Allah’s(SWT) Book and the limbs and tongue will follow in this attachment. You must know that we only mentioned a few of the numerous benefits of reading and reflecting over the Qur’an. There are many benefits that await your reading in the Qur’an and books of hadith, like the chapter of the Qur’an that will argue on your behalf in the grave, and that it is a physical healing, a source of rest and relaxation for your heart, among many other things. And Allah(SWT) knows best.

Fasting

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's(SWT) Apostle (PBUH)said: "Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven." (Bukhari)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah(SWT) be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah(SWT) said, "Allah(SWT) the Exalted and Majestic said: 'Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except As-Siyam (the fasting) which is (exclusively) for Me, and I will reward him for it.' Fasting is a shield. When anyone of you is observing fast, he should neither indulge in obscene language nor should he raise his voice; and if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him, he should say: 'I am fasting.' By Him in Whose Hand the soul of Muhammad(ﷺ)(PBUH) is, the breath of one observing Saum is sweeter to Allah(SWT) than the fragrance of musk. The one who fasts, experiences two joys: he feels pleasure when he breaks the fast. He is joyful by virtue of his fast when he meets his Rubb."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
In a narration by Al-Bukhari, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah says: '(The person observing Saum) has abstained from food and drink, and sexual pleasures for My sake; fasting is for Me, and I will bestow its reward. Every good deed has ten times its reward'."
In a narration by Muslim, the Messenger of Allah(SWT)said, "The reward of every (good) deed of a person is multiplied from ten to seven hundred times. Allah (SWT) says: 'The reward of observing Saum is different from the reward of other good deeds; Saum is for Me, and I Alone will give its reward. The person observing Saum abstains from food and drink only for My sake.' The fasting person has two joyous occasions, one at the time of breaking his fast, and the other at the time of meeting his Rubb. Surely, the breath of one observing Saum is better smelling to Allah(SWT) than the fragrance of musk."

The Best Opportunity To Change Our Lives Forever

  • Have you ever felt like having fresh new start again in life? Have you ever wished that all of your past sins were wiped out like you were a new born baby?

  • Have you ever felt like you just have not done enough for the Hereafter and that you have an empty good deed account that needs filling?
  • Have you also ever wanted to really get closer to Allah and to renew & strengthen your faith?

>>> Well now is that opportunity. This is the perfect opportunity for us not only to have a fresh new start again in our lives but to have our entire lifetime sins wiped away like a new born baby and to have our good deed accounts filled to the brim! Want to make up for lost time? Well there is no better opportunity than this!

This could be our last chance!

We should firstly thank Allah (SWT) that he has given us such an amazing unique opportunity. This is a favour upon us like no other. But this may be our last chance to change. We may well not see another Ramadan. We may never get an opportunity to change ourselves for the better.

We keep procrastinating and deceiving ourselves into thinking "I got plenty of time, I'm still only young with my whole life ahead of me". Or we want to sort our careers out first, or go Hajj or Umrah first or do this first or that first.

But, How can we guarantee that we will be alive to see tomorrow let alone next week, next month, next year or the next few decades? How many of us know of people who have passed away this year of all ages, situations and circumstances? How many of us know of Muslims who did not make it to Ramadan? Therefore how can we guarantee that we will be alive next year to see another Ramadan and have another amazing opportunity like this?

Utter regret if we do not take this opportunity now!

The fact is that we CANNOT afford to miss this unique opportunity. This is an opportunity for redemption. A chance to change our lives for the better forever. All of us who know we have to change and want to change then this is that opportunity. If we don't take this opportunity now then we WILL regret it forever!

When we see what we could have had in the Hereafter we will beg Allah: "Please Oh Lord I did not know, I was too consumed into the Dunya (Worldly Life). Please send me back so that I may worship you properly and live my life devoted to you."

But we will be rejected because we only have this ONE chance! Once this chance is over then we will NEVER be able to get it back again. Therefore we CANNOT miss this one opportunity to change our lives forever. If we ever wanted to have a fresh start and get ALL of our sins wiped out then this is our chance.

If we ever wanted to gain immense rewards to fill up our good deed accounts then this is our chance.

If we ever wanted the chance to renew & strengthen our Imaan (Faith) and get closer to Allah(SWT) then this is our chance!

So we CANNOT afford to miss this opportunity for we may never get this chance again!

So let us make the commitment!

So we must make a firm commitment to change. We must look at ourselves and this life and think what is the point of chasing the worldly life when it may end any second? Will we take our possessions and hoards of wealth with us? The fact is this life compared to the Hereafter is like comparing a droplet to an ocean. There is absolutely NO comparison!

Therefore let us at this moment cleanse ourselves and fall into prostration (Sajda) to Almighty Allah(SWT) and cry and beg of him for forgiveness. Let us ask of him and I promise you he will never turn you away. He is waiting for us to turn to him so patiently. So how can we make him wait any longer. How can we risk losing this opportunity that we may NEVER get back again.

Therefore let us repent for our past and present sins right this moment and make a firm commitment to Allah(SWT) that we will devote ourselves to him and to his worship and that we will try our best to fulfill our obligations unto him and that we will try our best to do everything that pleases him and avoid anything that may anger or displease him.

Then let us devote ourselves in worship in this blessed month and cleanse our heart and souls with the worship and remembrance of Allah and recitation of the Qur'an and glorification of our Lord. Let us control our tongues and stop or significantly limit anything which may hinder our worship such as TV, Social Networks such as Facebook and Twitter and anything else that may waste a precious second in this most blessed month.

Let us worship Allah with full sincerity, hope for immense reward, forgiveness and mercy from Allah for an entire lifetime of sins and make a firm commitment that we will change ourselves for the better for the rest of the year as Ramadan is for life not just for one month.

We must remember that our time is very short and that this may well be our very last Ramadan as it was the last Ramadan for so many who thought they would make it!

So let us grab this opportunity with both hands! If we walk towards Allah then he will run towards us!

May Allah(SWT) enable us to make the best of this most blessed month and enable us to gain the maximum rewards an so that we may change our lives for the better FOREVER! Ameen

The Prophet (SAW) Sermon About "Ramadan"

Baihaqi reported on the authority of Salman Al-Farsi (Radhi Allahu‘Anh) that Prophet (‘Alaihi Salat was-Salam) delivered a sermon on the last day of the month of Sha’ban. In it he (‘Alaihi Salat was-Salam) said,

“O People! The month of Allah Ramadan has come with its mercies, blessings and forgiveness. Allah has decreed this month the best of all months. The days of this month are the best among the days and the nights are the best among the nights and the hours during Ramadan are the best among the hours. This is a month in which you have been invited by Him (to fast and pray). Allah has honored you in it. In every breath you take is a reward of Allah, your sleep is worship, your good deeds are accepted and your invocations are answered.

Therefore, you must invoke your Lord in all earnestness with hearts free from sin and evil, and pray that Allah may help you to keep fast, and to recite the Holy Qur’an. Indeed!, miserable is the one who is deprived of Allah’s forgiveness in this great month. While fasting:

  • Remember the hunger and thirst on the Day of Judgement.

  • Give alms to the poor and needy.

  •  Pay respect to your elders.

  •  Have sympathy for your youngsters and be kind towards your relatives and kinsmen.

  •  Guard your tongue against unworthy words, and your eyes from scenes that are not worth seeing (forbidden) and your ears from sounds that should not be heard.

  • Be kind to orphans so that if your children may become orphans they will also be treated with kindness.

  •  Do repent to Allah for your sins and supplicate with raised hands at the times of prayer as these are the best times, during which Allah Almighty looks at His servants with mercy. Allah Answers if they supplicate, Responds if they call, Grants if He is asked, and Accepts if they entreat.

O people! you have made your conscience the slave of your desires.Make it free by invoking Allah for forgiveness. Your back may break from the heavy load of your sins, so prostrate yourself before Allah for long intervals, and make this load lighter. Understand fully that Allah has promised in His Honor and Majesty that, people who perform Salah and sajda (prostration) will be guarded from Hell-fire on the Day of Judgement.

O people!, if anyone amongst you arranges for Iftar (meal at sunset) for any believer, Allah will reward him as if he had freed a slave, and Allah will forgive him his sins. A companion asked: “but not all of us have the means to do so” The Prophet (May Allah be pleased with him) replied: Keep yourself away from Hell-fire though it may consist of half a date or even some water if you have nothing else.

O people!, anyone who during this month cultivates good manners, will walk over the Sirat (bridge to Paradise) on the day when feet will tend to slip. For anyone who during this month eases the workload of his servants, Allah will make easy his accounting, and for anyone who doesn’t hurt others during this month, Allah will safeguard him from His Wrath on the Day of Judgement. Anyone who respects and treats an orphan with kindness during this month, Allah shall look at him with kindness on that Day. Anyone who treats his kinsmen well during this month, Allah will bestow His Mercy on him on that Day, while anyone who mistreats his kinsmen during this month, Allah will keep away from His Mercy.

Whoever offers the recommended prayers during this month, Allah will save him from Hell, and whomever observes his obligations during this month, his reward will be seventy times the reward during other months. Whoever repeatedly invokes Allah’s blessings on me, Allah will keep his scale of good deeds heavy, while the scales of others will be tending to lightness. Whomever recites during this month an Ayat (verse) of the Holy Qur’an, will get the reward of reciting the whole Qur’an in other months.

O people!, the gates of Paradise remain open during this month. Pray to your Lord that they may not be closed for you. While the gates of Hell are closed, pray to your Lord that they never open for you. Satan has been chained, invoke your Lord not to let him dominate you.”

Ali ibn Talib (RAA) said: “I asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what are the best deeds during this month’?” ‘He replied: ‘O Abu-Hassan, the best of deeds during this month is to be far from what Allah has forbidden’.”

With the help of Allah, try your best to follow the wonderful Tarbeeyah (advice) given to us by our Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) In sha Allah!

May Allah keep us steadfast in our A'maals and keep our intentions pure and accept our deeds in this blessed month of Mercy Insha Allah!

Save Changes After Ramadan

Just like how you strove hard to please Allah and earn His love during the month of Ramadan, Make sure you save your changes after Ramadan as well. It can never be difficult, If you strove hard and did your best to become a better and a good Muslim during Ramadan, Then why not try and do the same after Ramadan too? You are the same person who engaged in doing Amal and Ibaadat back during Ramadan, so continue with the same act of worship out side Ramadan as well Insha Allah! Where there is a will, there is a way out. So if you really want to become a better Muslim then make sure you "SAVE YOUR CHANGES" after Ramadan.

If you can pray all your five daily Salaah along with the Sunnah and Nafl Salaah, then what stops you from continuing it after Ramadan? If you spent time with the recitation of the Qu'ran during Ramadan, then what stops you from continuing with the same recitation after Ramadan? If you tried hard to avoid backbiting, fighting, lying and slandering during Ramadan, then why not continue with the same good character after Ramadan too? If you can respect your parents and elders during Ramadan, then what stops you from doing the same act all your life? If you can avoid listening to music and watching movies during Ramadan, then why not avoid that out of your life? If you engaged with Dhikr during Ramadan, then why is that you can't have your same mind in the remembrance of Allah out side of Ramadan too? If you did lower your gaze and control your evil desires during Ramadan, There is absolutely no excuse for why you cant do the same sacrifice after Ramadan too.

To conclude, If you can avoid all that Allah (swt) has prohibited for you during Ramadan, then why cant to follow and avoid the same prohibition all your life and not only during Ramadan?? For whom are we making all these sacrifices? It is for our Rabb! Our Creator! are you going to lack in anything by avoiding all that He has prohibited for us? Absolutely no. You will only find happiness and Barakaah in your life Insha Allah! I know, it can be hard to avoid all of these after having got used to it all your life, but that is exactly the reason why Allah (swt) has gifted us with the month of Ramadan, to train us become better Muslims after Ramadan too. Subhana Rabbi Al A'laa!

One way to check on if your deeds have been accepted during the month of Ramadan is to see if or not we continue with the same A'maals after Ramadan as well. So strive hard just for the sake of Allah and you'll see the lovely changes for sure Insha Allah! May Allah help you and make it easy on you.
